The Solvent Extractors Association of India (SEA)
and the All India Cottonseed Crushers Association (AICOSCA) jointly organized
the 4th SEA-AICOSCA Cottonseed, Oil & Meal Conclave 2023 at
Aurangabad on 7th & 8th July, 2023. The Minister of State for Finance (GoI)
Hon’ble Shri Bhagwat Karad, Hon'ble Shri Abdul Sattar (Minister of Agriculture,
MS), Smt. Varsha Usgaonkar (Film Actress) & SEA dignitaries were present.
VC Prof. Dr. Indra Mani addressed the session as
a panellist, in his speech highlighted the reasons for low productivity of
cottonseed, measures to be taken for increasing productivity of the cottonseed and
research contribution of VNMKV, Parbhani.
About 300 delegates from across the country
associated with the cottonseed value chain, were attended the conference. In the two day conference, experts discussed on various aspects of the cottonseed value addition, with
experts providing insights into the prices of cottonseed, cottonseed oil,
cottonseed cake in the session.
