Visit of Bayer CropScience Ltd Team to VNMKV, Parbhani

Team of Bayer CropScience Ltd visited VNMKV on 7^th September, 2022 and met with the Dr.Indra Mani, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor. VNMKV’s authorities Dr.D.N.Gokhale (DI & Dean), Dr.D.B.Deosarkar (DEE), Dr.G.K.Londhe (DDR), Dr.K.S.Baig, (AD, Seed), Dr.K.P.Apet (Head, Pl. Path), Dr.H.V.Kalpande (Head, Ag. Botany), Dr.S.S.More, Dr.G.U.Shinde (PI, NAHEP), Dr.Godawari Pawar, Dr.P.S.Kapse (PRO) were present. Bayer Team led by Dr. Tarun Sharma (Head, Field Crops), Dr. P. Sravan Kumar (Head, Agronomy Systems), Dr. Omprakash Patil (Market Dev. Coordinator), Mr. Girish Palaskar (Market Dev. Coordinator), and Dr. Rajendra Patil were also present.

The meeting was presided over by the Hon'ble VC sir, he emphasized that University wants to develop strong industrial relationship for the welfare of farmers and agricultural development. During the meeting, major issues related to possible collaboration of the University with the Bayer CropScience in the field of agricultural education, research and extension education were discussed. Collaborative works such as Common demonstration of technologies through farmers participatory action research (FPAR) programme, increase in girls student employment in the Bayer (Samavesh Programme), supporting PG students research work, licensing and commercialization of proven technology of the University, farmers participatory seed production and upliftment of some research centres of the University were discussed. Potential partnership on research in nematode management in banana, vegetables, and drone applications in agriculture were also discussed.
